M.O.T.S. (More Of The Same)

Still trying to divide my time between studying, doing class projects, playing EQ2 and sleeping. Not finding a lot of extra time between those, so I apologize to anyone who actually reads this; the blog tends to be my last priority.

Again. I will try to post more often, but unless I have something outstanding to talk about, I’m not going to waste time that both you and I could put to better use.

Until next time,

Mr. Nose? Meet Mr. Grindstone.

Hard to believe that it as almost been 2 weeks since I last posted. But I have a reason. I started, 20 years after high school graduation, to work on my college degree. It involves a lot of studying, paradigm shifts, and the ingestion of buckets of aspirin (because paradigm shifts give me a headache).

I will try to post more often, but I will promise nothing.

Until next time,

On Einstein, Studying, and EQ2

In 1905, Albert Einstein introduced his now-famous theory of Mass-Energy Equivalence. The main formula used was E=M(C*C), or as phrased normally, E equals MC squared. In the formula, E represents Energy, M relates to mass, and C represents the speed of light. Continue reading ‘On Einstein, Studying, and EQ2’

Don’t try this at home….otherwise, we’ll just laugh at your stupidity.

Ok. The title has really nothing to do with the post, except for the word “home”, and that won’t be until later on in the post.

The day started like many – in pain. So I laid in bed as long as I could, which turned out not to be that long, as the wife wanted me to help look for the printer cables. Well, we didn’t find them at that point. Anyway, being up already, I decided to log on to EQ2. I checked the broker, did some harvesting to supplement my shiny income, then I lay down for a mid-day siesta.

Note: For those out there who think they are going to correct my grammar, lay, in the manner in which I used it, is the past tense of lie, as in to lie on a bed. If you don’t believe me, do a google search for lie versus lay. I’ll wait. Continue reading ‘Don’t try this at home….otherwise, we’ll just laugh at your stupidity.’

Circumstantial Happenstance or Happenstantial Circumstance, whatevs

A lot has happened in the last four days. Unfortunately, most of it has not been in EQ2. Went to the doctor, and he recommended another 30 days off. (Yay!) Continue reading ‘Circumstantial Happenstance or Happenstantial Circumstance, whatevs’

Back to (the) back

Well, today they removed the staples from my incision. They also were stumped, when I asked why my feet and ankles were swelling so bad. They offered several possibilities, among those being medication interaction problems or venous blood clots, but said that none of them could be ruled out at this point. Therefore I get to go on Saturday for X-rays to ensure that I don’t have any venous clotting in my legs, which, if clots were present in my legs, and if said clots were to break loose, could conceivably cause any number of adverse problems, up to, and including the big D (not Divorce, but Death).

Needless to say, this worries me a slight bit.

However, if I don’t post for a few days, don’t assume that I have kicked the bucket, punched my last timecard, met the maker, hit snake-eyes in the game of life, run out of 1UPs, went the way of disco, encountered an unrecoverable fatal error, went to the blue screen in the sky, or any number of other euphemisms for dying. I may just be spending time with my feet elevated and can’t be troubled to hobble over to the computer.

I will try to keep posting regularly to avoid people assuming that my possessions are now available for redistribution.

Until my next update,

Real life vs. EQ2

Have you ever done, said, or thought something in real life (IRL) that was EQ or EQ2 Related?

I have. Several times actually.

My wife, who is not a gamer (I bought her an account a year ago, her highest level character is a lvl 5 Fae Monk), must have the patience of a saint. Here are some examples of the things she has heard me say: Continue reading ‘Real life vs. EQ2’
