For those who read the original The Music Man post, you may have noted that I referred to Jethal of the guild Legion of Kithicor, on AB server. I finally contacted him in game. This was about a month ago. I sent him two of my songs, “Had a Bad Raid” and “You give PUGs a bad name”.

As many of you are aware, the City Festival is winding down. January 7th is its last day.

You might be wondering, “How can I get the city tokens?”

Well, there are several methods. You can earn them in the comfort and safety of your guild hall, doing crafting writs. You can do one of three quests for an NPC at the festival. The quickest method I have seen involves a trip to Mara. This is assuming that you are a member of a guild which has the following:

Each year, around this time, for better or for worse, there are a lot of changes. This is a time to reflect on the achievements you have made during the year. Additionally, this is a time to, temporarily, put aside differences, suppress enmity, and join together in the Festive Spirit.

Some of you who know me in game, know that I enjoy making parodies of modern(-ish) songs with an EQ2 theme. I’m not Jethal of Legion of Kithicor, by any means, but I have made enough songs to fill 3 player-made books, which are titled “Boisterous Ballads for Bards, Vols. I, II, and III”.

Norrath Fashion Show

At the risk of sounding like an EQ2 fanboy, I will have to say that I am happy about the new armors and clothing that they are releasing.

Used to be, you could travel around Norrath and, aside from the colors of the armor/clothing every mage looked the same, as did priests, scouts, and fighters. With the new Station Marketplace armor/clothing that they have released over the past few months, combined with the TSO Faction and Shard armor, together with the event armor from the Spires vendor, there are more choices than you could shake a gnome-on-a-stick at.

As posted here, This weekend will be a double Smedbucks weekend. What that means is that you will receive twice the number of Smedbucks for redeeming “any pre-paid Free Realms Station Cash retail game card”.

From the Cherry Grove

1 September 2009 saw some new furniture added to the Station Cash Marketplace in EQ2 (aka the SmedBucks Store).

While I don’t agree with most of what the RMT Store has, I would be lying if I said I didn’t like the armors and furniture that has become available through the EQ2 Marketplace.

I also have the latest installment of furniture to thank for five server “discos”.
